This is another winning addition to the fantastic Para-Ops series by DePaul. In this book, fate couples a dead woman, Wraith, with a healer. The possibilities are endless with these two. Of course they have a mission to accomplish and that’s where the real fun begins. Wraith is a heroine who will capture your heart immediately — she could sustain a series of her own.

Wraith is dead. She cannot be touched without feeling pain and she doesn’t remember who she was before she died. As the end of her life draws near Wraith is torn. She wants to experience love. She wants to make a contribution before she leaves Earth forever. She also wants to know who she was before she died. She’s desperately attracted to teammate Caleb O’Flare — he represents the type of person and the type of life she’s always dreamed of but can never have.

Caleb is drawn to Wraith but he knows he cannot have her. To touch her is to cause her great pain and he could never do that. However, when their case leads them to a sex club temptation may just push the both of them too far. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Oct., 336 pp., $7.99)
