CHRISTMAS IN MONTANA (4) by Kay Stockham: After losing her job, Jenna Darlington goes to work for Chance McKenna at his family’s store, and the single mother of two soon finds herself attracted to Chance. But because Chance is an extreme mountain climber — the same hobby that killed her husband — Jenna is reluctant to get involved with him. Chance is also hesitant to start a relationship with the wife of a deceased friend, but their attraction soon becomes more than they can resist. Stockham offers a well-written and realistic look at life for a single mother, doing a great job portraying the difficulties many single-parent families face. Jenna’s worry over Chance’s hobby is also nicely depicted.
