Chapman’s characters, Annie and Leah, share stories that remind the reader to focus on daily blessings, and the secondary characters are as well-developed as the primary ones. The Christmas Quilt’s inspiring message is that God can, and does, use every situation for good. Discussion questions and a glossary are included.

Annie Yoder has been using her medical training to help those in her community. Her sister-in-law, Leah, is expecting her first child, due to be born on Christmas, and Annie is working on a quilt for the baby. Then, preparations take a sharp turn, and Leah finds herself in an Englisch hospital with Annie at her side. Annie’s quilt takes on a whole new meaning as she and Leah focus on the fruits of the spirit, and Annie realizes that her path in life was planned by God to prepare her for this moment with Leah.
