Richards’ story is heavy in description at the outset, but when the hero comes on scene, things start to pick up nicely. The beginning of Johnson’s, when the hero and heroine meet, is a little far-fetched, but nonetheless, it is a sweet story and has some memorable scenes. And lastly, Mayberry’s story concludes the anthology on a high note, as readers might find it to be the most well-rounded, as well as the most touching story of the three.

When their beloved aunt passes away, three cousins are all given the task of finishing a piece of a quilt that she started for her daughter’s Christmas wedding. In Richards’ “Let It Snow,” Jo Miller meets up once again with Brody Ryan. When he offers her a second chance at love, will she take it? Johnson’s “You Better Watch Out” starts with Ella Torrence’s car being stolen, and her commandeering Brett Hollister to help her get it back. But when she recovers her car, will their burning hot relationship sputter out? And Mayberry’s “Nine Ladies Dancing” has shy librarian Rachel Miller falling for her friend’s son, Leo Bennett, a firefighter recovering from injury and coping with the death of his firefighter friend. Will Rachel be the one thing that can help him move on with his life? (HARLEQUIN, Nov., 384 pp., $7.99)
