CHRISTMAS WISHES

Six Jewels of the Quill authors join forces for a Christmas collection. Although the stories are family oriented and heartwarming, the different genres may not appeal to all readers.

In "All She Wore Was a Bow," Christine DeSmet offers a humorous contemporary romance about a rodeo star who meets his match in the form of a wedding planner. A talking cat helps a teenage runaway in the young adult fantasy "Little Cat Fee,t" by Margaret L. Carter. In the inspirational romance "Christmas Faith," by Karen Woods, a widowed minister helps Faith reclaim her belief in God.

Karen Wiesner writes a contemporary romance called "Perfect Cadence," which throws Joshua and Keri together in a cabin for two weeks. In "Are You Listening?" Jane Toombs pens a young adult paranormal romance about a young child's wish to have her dad home for Christmas. And Cade returns to claim his young son but has a battle on his hands in the historical romance "Annie's Outlaw," by Nancy Pirri. (WHISKEY CREEK, Sep., 336 pp., $14.95)
