CINDERELLA AND THE COWBOY
Widowed by a car wreck, teacher Elizabeth Ransom hopes to find work soon, but needs help caring for her two children in the meantime. She turns to her late husband's estranged father, Tom, who takes them in despite the misgivings of his ranch manager, Jack Crawford. The last thing Elizabeth expects is the pull she feels toward Jack -- or the complications that arise when Tom plans to leave his ranch to her son instead of selling it to Jack, as he promised. Judy Christenberry's Cinderella and the Cowboy (3) has a mostly believable plot and a cute secondary romance, but the main characters aren't handled well, and they lack chemistry.
