This is a dark, gritty story that will grab you by the throat and not let go. Olivia and Collin are difficult characters to get to know and their lives, filled with killing and betrayal, will be challenging for many readers to understand. But even as you cringe at this bleak world, you will be blown away by the story’s stunning intensity. Get ready for extreme violence and graphic sex as this couple discovers that in their line of work a trip to the bedroom may be just as dangerous as a gunfight.
The underground mercenary organization known only as “The Circle” is at war. Operatives have been disappearing and the latest casualty is the group's top assassin Olivia St. Vincent. But Olivia has not been killed; she's been kidnapped by Collin Ryker, the leader of a rival organization. Collin wants to turn Olivia's loyalties so she will work for him and he is willing to use any means necessary to get her cooperation. Collin has the capacity for violence, but he would much rather use seduction to get what he wants from Olivia. But she is not an easy mark. Olivia is well versed in games of betrayal, so while she gladly uses Collin for pleasure, giving him her trust is another matter completely. (AVON IMPULSE, Oct. 2011, dl., $3.99)

If I had to describe this book in two words they would be gritty and dangerous. Since those are two of my favorite things in a book I really enjoyed this one.
From the start I liked Olivia’s strength. She has a passion for her work even though it’s not a job most of us would want to do. As the book progresses you find out about her past and you can see why she is able to do the job of an assassin. She really thinks she’s ridding the world of bad people.
I love everything about Collin. He’s tough but soft spoken. I like that he handles Olivia. I don’t think any other man could. He’s torn between his feelings for her and doing what he thinks is right.
These two fight hard and love harder. I can’t wait to read the next book!
