CLAIMED BY THE DEMON
CLAIMED BY THE DEMON (4) by Doranna Durgin: Drawn to Albuquerque without knowing why, Gwen Badura shows up in the city by herself with only a hint that the strange necklace given to her by her father years earlier has something to do with her compulsion. Once there, she meets Michael MacKenzie, holder of a demon blade. Also drawn to the city, Mac realizes there’s evil there. It’s making his battle against the blade’s power even harder. Soon, Gwen is helping him fight the blade that’s determined to win in its struggle against Mac’s goodness. Durgin combines a nicely paced plot and a good mythology for the blades in one fast-paced, exciting story. Her descriptions of Mac’s fight against the evil taking him over are quite good.
