Teglia gives her heroine not one, not two, but five sexy supernatural heroes to play with in her first Shadow Guardians story. The heroine has most of the funny lines (the rest belong to the weredragon), the plot has some innovative twists and the sex is hot, varied, frequent and fun.

Apprentice witch Sybil didn't mean to step into the middle of Armageddon -- she just wanted to browse at an estate sale. But when an old grimoire she bought opens a gate to the demon world, it takes all five sexy Shadow Guardians -- werewolf, weredragon, fae, vampire and demon -- to help close it. They then offer to train her magical powers so she never opens it again. Sure, she has to have sex with each of them, but who's complaining? Not her, although she wishes Kenrick the werewolf wanted more than her body. (ST. MARTIN'S GRIFFIN, Dec., 304 pp., $13.99)
