CLAUSTROPHOBIC CHRISTMAS
by Ellie Marvel

Genre: Erotic Romance, Contemporary Erotic Romance, E-book

RT Rating

Even though there is only one sex scene in this novella, it is hot enough to classify this story as an erotica. However, readers wanting a fast moving, spicy tale will probably be a bit disappointed. It takes a long time for the author to move the story’s plot along to get to the lovemaking. The best part of the story is definitely the patient, understanding hero who puts up with a lot from his high maintenance heroine.

On a road trip to her family home for the holidays, Darcy Burkell is running late as usual. She suffers from extreme claustrophobia and finds it impossible to sit in a car, or any enclosed space, for too long. Darcy’s fear of traveling is especially difficult because she owns a popular travel agency and regularly writes an informative travel newsletter. Usually she gets around this by doing careful Internet research and using photographer James Jones’ pictures from around the world.

James loves his adventurous lifestyle and has no plans to change his wanderlust habits anytime soon. But he does wish for a travel partner and he thinks he has the perfect woman in mind, his client Darcy. After months of constant communication and some pretty heavy flirting, James asks Darcy to join him for the holidays with his family. But to his surprise, Darcy refuses. She is embarrassed by her phobia and unwilling to think about having a relationship. Lucky for her, James won't give up on their future so easily and shows Darcy that they can work through her issues — together. (SAMHAIN, Dec., dl., $3.50)
