Due to circumstances surrounding the death of her partner, FBI agent Summer Mulcahey accepts an assignment out in California. Assistant D.A. Cara O'Connor is currently tied up in a nasty case that results in death threats. Fearing for the safety of her two daughters, Cara asks Summer to pose as their new nanny.

Senator Tate Winslow, Cara's fiancé, also fears for his new family's safety and contacts Navy SEAL Gabe Morgan for his help. As it happens, Gabe is recovering from a parachuting accident and agrees to pose as the gardener. Both Summer and Gabe are professionals, but their current positions are making them butt heads. An escalation in the death threats quickly makes them the focus of the danger.

Suspense and romance are guaranteed to grab a reader's attention, and Skye delivers every time. Having her fan-favorite character Izzy Teague make an appearance just adds to the fun. Look for Summer's twin sister's story in the future. (Jun., 454 pp., $6.99)
