RT Rating

Aidan and Lexie have wonderful chemistry, and the banter and budding relationship between them is extremely enjoyable. Alas, the villain is so over the top he’s like a caricature. However the villain’s captive, Vonnie, is well developed.

Journalist Lexie Nolan knows something evil is going on, but no one believes her. Worse, she’s been asked to stop reporting on the disappearance of runaways. But when another girl disappears, Lexie won’t let it go. She enlists sexy Aidan McConnell, a former member of the Extrasensory Agents, to help find the missing girl. Aidan isn’t interested in finding anybody, not after the last botched investigation, but he can’t say no to Lexie. She stirs emotions in him he’s always kept guarded. As they unravel the mystery, they uncover a city’s dark secrets and endanger their lives. (SIGNET ECLIPSE, Jul., 368 pp., $7.99)
