English beauty, Jennifer Reynolds Templeton, loves her Texas ranch and will do whatever she can to keep control of herself and her land after her father's death.

Bounty hunter Trey MacTavish, better known by his Comanche name, Three Wolves, is feared by everyone because of his seemingly magical ability to become like his pet wolves. Only Jennifer believes that beneath his hard exterior lies a good man.

She offers him a proposal. She'll pay him to be her husband in name only to keep her land from greedy suitors. He accepts if he can have a wedding night.

Three Wolves is a man with a dangerous past and when his enemies kidnap Jennifer, he puts everything aside but his desire for vengeance. He rescues her, but must also heal the physical and mental wounds she suffered during captivity. His tender care gives way to love making.

To her dismay, her domineering grandmother, the Duchess' arrival creates new problems. She wants to sell the ranch and annul their marriage. But after Jennifer's younger brother runs away and Jennifer goes after him, the Duchess must ask Three Wolves for help. Using his powers, he saves his wife and her brother. Yet there are still many problems to settle between them.

This fast-paced, frying-pan-into-the-fire, sizzling tale is one that will keep you up all night. Carol Finch not only knows how to keep the plot moving, the action exciting and the sparks flying, but she creates wonderful characters who truly steal your heart. Another winner from a super talent.
