Book Review

by Angie Daniels

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

An excursion strictly for the girls is just what the doctor ordered for Nadine, Kayla, Lisa and Renee. Unfulfilled in her marriage, Renee ponders her third divorce while getting a little action on the side. Lisa hopes to tell her sister the truth about her health. Nadine remains in the closet about her love life. Kayla has finally found a good man, but he belongs to someone else.

The diversity of characters in Daniels' latest creates an interesting potpourri. Each story is different, thought-provoking and interesting. Renee's impulsive actions, however, dominate the novel, where equal focus on her friends and family is wanted. Details are revealed slowly and often only raise further questions. But with strong characters, humor and emotion, Daniels' book is riveting. (Feb., 359 pp., $14.00)
