CONFLICT OF HONORS
by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller

Genre: Science Fiction, General Science Fiction

RT Rating

Priscilla Delacroix y Mendoza was banished from her family, religion and homeworld of Sintia. During the next 10 years, Priscilla works her way up to supply officer on a Liaden trade ship. However, the captain abandons her on-planet when she accidentally discovers contraband drugs in the cargo manifests.

Recognizing her plight and believing her honorable, starship captain Shan yos'Galen rescues Priscilla and allows her to become part of his crew. Shan sees a kindred soul in the mysterious Priscilla but she keeps him at a distance.

As her old captain and Shan are enemies, Shan is delighted to pursue revenge in Priscilla's behalf, until her life is threatened. And when one of her ex-crewmates injures Shan's cabin boy Gordy, Priscilla finds her own revenge. A new Liaden clan is about to be born—Clan Mendoza.

Intricate relationships and additional background keeps each novel fresh
and anticipated. My only regret is that Priscilla and Shan's story isn't complete. (Aug., 320 pp., $6.50)
