If there is one book teens — and adults! — should have on their must-read list, Conjure is it! Fans of young love and adventure will hurry to the end of each chapter, in anticipation of what will happen next. Unfolding at an easy pace, this tale is magical and spellbinding. Nolan is one to watch!

Twins Emma and Jack Guthrie long for summertime when they get to hang out with their wealthy best friend, Cooper Beaumont. Emma has been crushing on Cooper, and she hopes he feels the same way. But then Emma cuts her foot on a bottle at the beach — a bottle with a centuries-old message inside. Her dreams of dates and kisses are squashed as the trio set out to find the buried treasure. Everything goes wrong after Jack gets cursed by “The Creep” and Cooper lands in danger, too. Emma soon gets involved in white magic, although she’ll have to learn quickly, before Cooper loses his soul and Jack turns to dust right before her eyes.
