The second book in the Lady Trent mystery series is a great addition to any reader's bookshelf. The Victorian England setting is made for mystery, family secrets and murder. Lady Trent is a treat; not your typical English rose, she is forthright and has quite the sense of humor. The main male character is a Prince Charming in an actor's body.

Lady Trent once again lands
in the middle of a family mystery and murder. She and her sleuth sidekick, Dylan Tremayne, agree to help their neighbors locate the son they thought died in birth. When they discover who he is, they nevertheless bring him home and welcome him into the family.

When other family members don't wish to share the family wealth and someone is murdered, it will be up to Lady Trent and Dylan to root out the killer before someone else dies. (Thomas Nelson, Aug., 320 pp., $13.99)
