Forced to kill in the line of duty, RCMP officer Kelly Shannon has trouble dealing with the outcometwo fatherless children and a self-destructing widow. Kelly approaches the victim's brother for help and a plan is forgedtemporary marriage and custody of the children. Before long, Kelly begins to fall in love with her husband and newfound family, but wonders if Mick can ever forgive her for his brother's death. While C. J. Carmichael's A CONVENIENT PROPOSAL (3) is emotionally gripping and nourished by layered characters, some issues remain unanswered, such as how the children really feel about Kelly's role in their father's death.
