A CONVENIENT WIFE (4) by Anna Schmidt: Nantucket, 1850: Caroline Hudson needs more students before school starts or she won't be able to cover her expenses. Tyrone Justice doesn't want a handout, but he needs to be at sea to make money to feed his three children. He and Caroline reach an agreement, giving her guardianship while he's away. They don't see eye to eye, but when they're apart all they do is think about each other. They'll need to trust in each other and believe that God has everything under control in order to make it through some troubled times. Schmidt pens a wonderful love story. The characters are written with their strengths and weaknesses in plain sight. Their beliefs keep them strong and they learn it's OK to question God.
