The fifth Gourmet Girl mystery has all the ingredients fans have come to expect. In this amusing and entertaining outing, the mystery is almost an afterthought, but who cares! You'll be too involved in Chloe's life and what's going to happen with her ex-boyfriend Josh to care. And it wouldn't be a Gourmet Girl story without some wonderful mouth-watering descriptions of food integrated throughout the story and several luscious-sounding recipes at the end.

Chloe Carter's life is a bit of a mess. She's still steamed over her breakup with chef boyfriend Josh, who left Boston to take a job in Hawaii. But she also misses him terribly. To fill the void, Chloe overindulged her baby godson and is now having trouble paying her bills. So she takes a job compiling a book of recipes from Boston's top chefs, even though it means dealing with many of Josh's friends, including the loudmouth but lovable Digger. Everything's going great until she finds Digger's apartment building on fire and Digger dead. But Chloe's certain his death was not an accident, and she's determined to find out who wanted him dead.
