The Count's Blackmail Bargain (4), by Sara Craven, brings together innocent Englishwoman Laura Mason and jaded Italian aristocrat Alessio Ramontella. Laura and Alessio are drawn to one another, and although she's at his villa as the guest of his cousin Paolo, Alessio is used to getting all he desires. It becomes clear that Laura and Alessio belong together, but will the secret bargains that each entered into drive them apart? Craven strikes the perfect balance of romance, humor and drama in this fast-paced novel that keeps the reader enthralled with Alessio and Laura (and Paolo and his mother, Lucrezia) from the first page to the last.
