Galenorn never shies away from forcing her protagonists into dealing with devastating emotional or physical blows in her Otherworld series, but this novel really tests Camille D’Artigo’s limits. Dire events are in the offing and this story is jam-packed with edgy thrills and horrifying danger. It is tough to keep up the intensity level in a long-running series; Galenorn has no such problem, as this terrific tale aptly demonstrates!
Upon her return from the Northlands, Camille doesn’t even get a chance to get inside her home before she is called away to a new crisis.
