Peyton Mahoney and DeAngelo DiMeglio are two powerhouse attorneys in the Madaris circle of friends. They steam up the pages of this latest entry. Happily for romance fans, there’s more between-the-sheets action than courtroom drama in Jackson’s can’t-miss latest.

Angelo has made up his mind: Peyton is the woman he wants. With his sister’s help, he arranges for both to be at the exclusive singles resort he partly owns. He seduces and romances Peyton and, while she agrees to their fling, she just figures that eventually they’ll go their separate ways. Angelo is looking for forever and spends their time together trying to convince Peyton of his sincerity. But Peyton is still healing from past hurts, and she wants no part of that pain again. The legal case that threatens to divide them is only a minor bump in the road. (KIMANI/ARABESQUE, Jun., 231 pp., $6.99)
