Abandoned in Vegas in her wedding dress, Seattle native Madeline Tate finds herself stuck—literally, by her veil—on rancher Jake Montgomery's property. Discovering Jake needs some temporary babysitting help, Madeline offers to take care of his daughter, Annie. On leave from her ad agency job and eager to find a place to lick her wounds, the jilted bride-to-be doesn't have love on her mind—at least not at first. The Cowboy and the Bride (3) is cute, with a persuasive hero and a fun heroine. Though executed with finesse, Marin Thomas's story is no doubt overly familiar to most readers.
