THE COWBOY AND THE CEO
WinnersWear CEO Susan Collins intends to combine business with pleasure on a brief visit to the Gold Buckle Ranch, a facility for ill children. Her plans go awry, largely thanks to famous rodeo clown Clint Scully. Getting to know Clint is a bittersweet experience for Susan -- she lives to work, and Clint works to live. Geography's against them too, and there's no escaping that. Or is there? Christine Wenger's The Cowboy and the CEO (4) overcomes its overused premise through attention to subtleties of characterization. It's often touching, and occasionally humorous too.
