Copeland and Smith delight us with another tale of Apple Grove that keeps us enchanted by how the Lord gives new beginnings and helps us seek the goodness in all the situations life brings.

Jesse Montgomery is wounded in a quarrel over his Amish friends’ land boundaries. Widowed Katie Miller is called upon to nurse him back to health on the Switzer farm. Jesse tries to understand the Amish ways of dealing with conflict and wants to take things into his own hands with the help of his cowboy friends. It might get him killed and the Switzers thrown off their land. Can Katie find God’s will for her life, and will Jesse be welcome in the community? (HARVEST HOUSE, Apr., 320 pp., $13.99)
