A COWBOY WORTH CLAIMING
Sands has written a charming tale about a lonely cowboy and a sassy vixen who find love against all odds. Though rich in historical details with interesting characters, the story is too contrived to impress.
Trouble follows Chance Worth everywhere he goes. Now trouble has a name: Lizzie Mitchell. Chance owes her grandfather a debt, and the only way to pay is by finding her a husband. The selection of suitors is poor, and Lizzie’s stubborn and independent ways don’t help. Nor does it help when the innocent beauty proves to be a disarming temptation. But before Chance gets a chance to claim Lizzie for his own, his past catches up with him and forces them apart. (HARLEQUIN, Apr., 288 pp., $6.25)
