Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary Young Adult

RT Rating

Hot, fast and full of speed, readers won’t want to hit the brakes on this read! McGarry’s series has been a delight from the first — and this latest installment is no exception. McGarry continues to improve her ability to develop secondary characters. Readers will enjoy catching up with their old friends and making new ones.

Four protective older brothers and loving parents create the image of a perfect rich-girl life for Rachel. Yet lurking underneath the unblemished surface are dark family secrets and bizarre expectations. Isaiah grew up in foster care, and at 17 he looks like one of the many drug-addict thugs in his neighborhood. The difference is that Isaiah lives by his own rules, and he has only one goal: to make it as a successful auto mechanic. Tied together by chemistry, money and fast cars, can these two star-crossed lovers make it off the streets, or will their differences drag (race) them apart?
