CRAVE
by J.R. Ward

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

The battle for humanity continues in the second installment of Ward’s Fallen Angels series. Little time has elapsed since the conclusion of Covet, and newly minted warrior angel Jim Heron is again put to the test. There are two main story threads within this novel as humanity stands trial. Ward makes sure her tale is both gritty and highly entertaining!

It has only been a couple of days since Jim Heron died and won his first battle with the demon Devina. Devina is not about to let Jim win the war, as it will mean that good will triumph and she will be destroyed.

Like Jim, Isaac Rothe is a former XOps operative who used to report to Matthias. But there is no retiring from XOps: You are either in or they kill you. Isaac has been on the run, but his arrest during an underground fighting match brings him into contact with public defender Grier Childe. As Grier tries to help Isaac, she is thrust headfirst into the deadly battle between good and evil. (SIGNET, Oct., 480 pp., $7.99)

Crave

Jim Heron is a fallen angel charged with saving the souls of seven people. In this book, Jim is trying to save his friend, Isaac Rothe, a black-ops soldier who is trying to get out of the organization. Isaac is the target of assassins because "nobody gets out alive". When he ends up in jail, Isaac's fate is in the hands of his public defender, Grier Childe.

Another great installment in the Fallen Angels series. If you liked the first book, you'll really enjoy this one. Jim and his buddies, Eddie and Adrian, are great characters. I liked the romance between Isaac and Grier, even though it was super quick. Even the demon, Devina, is interesting. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

Bab Boy Angels

I just love JR Wards world. If it’s not big, hunky vamps, its big, bad boy angels. Her heroes are large, muscular men, handsome, and tough, but when it comes to their women they are loyal, passionate and caring. A potent combination and probably every women's fantasy. Crave is dark, gritty, and the game between good and evil that her angels and demons fight is clever, close and wicked. She has a unique, creative perspective in this age old dualism.
