CRAVE THE DARKNESS
by Amanda Bonilla

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Shaede assassin Darian is still feeling the fallout from the events of previous books and Bonilla is not cutting her heroine any slack. This third chapter in Bonilla’s thrilling, pull-no-punches series has old relationships and prior obligations colliding with a deadly force. The characters in her well-crafted world are complicated, dynamic and nuanced.

Heartbroken and depressed since her jinn lover Tyler’s abandonment, Darian doesn’t even put up a defense when the Council judges her previous actions. It is up to Shaede King Xander Peck to step in and halt any repercussions. Darian’s relationship with Xander isn’t exactly simple. It appears he has a romantic interest in her, but right now Xander wants Darian to protect fellow Shaede Anya, who is pregnant — something very rare for the Shaede nation. Someone or something is after Anya. Suddenly Tyler resurfaces, and he, too, has a job for Darian — one that ties back to the threat against Anya. Darian has a choice to make, and it could cost her everything. (SIGNET ECLIPSE, Mar., 336 pp., $7.99)
