Book Review

by Cathy Yardley

Genre: Erotic Romance

RT Rating

This modern retelling of the Snow White fairy tale is intriguing, scary, believable, ripped from today's headlines -- and hot! Fans of the Disney version will get the romantic ending they crave, but erotica connoisseurs should be warned that this is milder than Anne Rice's retelling of the Sleeping Beauty mythos. Still, the conventional sex scenes are nicely done.

When investigative reporter Stephen Trent infiltrates the Penitent compound to gather information for
an expose on the primitive cult, he
has no idea that he's stumbled onto
the story of a lifetime. Goodmaid
Beth is actually Princess Bianca,
who "accidentally" disappeared
10 years earlier. Before long, Stephen
and Beth break the Penitent's strictest taboos: They fall in love and choose
to consummate that love more
than once. But when the lovers are
discovered, it becomes a matter
of life and death. (Avon Red, Jun., 272
