Hira Dazirah is tired of fighting with her father over who she'll marry, so she agrees to wed the scarred American man who has asked for her hand. For Marc Bordeaux, his new bride fulfills his need to possess something beautiful. But once the newlyweds are back at Marc's home in Louisiana, they find that they have more in common than they thought, and that true love really is blind. Nalini Singh creates atypical characters for Craving Beauty (3), which has both pros and cons. While readers may have a hard time seeing Marc as a hero worthy of Hira until the very end, this beautifully told story is worth the read.
