Flynn has temporarily taken over the running of an inn left to her family by her Great-aunt Esther.

Jake Tucker, ex-cop turned inn bartender, is obsessed with bringing down Gordon Chase. He is suspicious that Chase, who wants to buy the inn, may be responsible in some way for Esther's sudden death. As for what he thinks of Flynn - she's weird. Flynn finds Jake disturbing, but not as disturbing as Esther's ghost, who not only visits her dreams, but makes her presence known in the real world. Why is Esther still around and is there really a chance that Flynn could be in danger? (Forever, Oct., 336 pp., $6.99)
