Book Review

CRITICAL CARE
by Candace Calvert

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Fans of medical drama will enjoy this new series. The alternating points of view are often frenetic, and the many side plots don't mesh as well as they should. Yet the romance between Logan and Claire is appealing and has tension to temper the sweetness. Overall, this novel works.

After losing her brother
in the ER where she worked as a
trauma nurse, Claire Avery moves
into a new career as a nurse educator. She's thrown into a situation with
the grouchy perfectionist Dr. Logan Caldwell, who thinks talking is a
waste of time.

Claire and Logan might not see
eye to eye at work, but they do have romantic chemistry that's difficult to deny. Can they overcome their differences and let their hearts lead? (TYNDALE, Jun., 294 pp., $12.99)
