CROSSED
by Ally Condie

Genre: Young Adult, Futuristic

RT Rating

Condie’s second in the Matched trilogy picks up with Cassia and Ky after they both head to the Outer Provinces, one willingly and one not. With alternating points of view, readers will be able to follow their separate journeys, as well as their differing takes on events once they find each other. Readers will keep turning pages as the characters discover more and more about people who lived in the Outer Provinces in the distant past, their society, a potential rebellion — and each other.

Cassia has finally made her way to the Outer Provinces to find Ky, who was sent away as punishment at the end of the last book. His fate was to be hard labor followed by almost certain death. But when she gets there, she learns that he has escaped into the dangerous canyons abutting the Outer Provinces. She follows him into the starkly beautiful landscape that’s unlike anything she’s ever seen. An amazing and frightening discovery in a cave there — plus a shocking discovery about Xander — may force Cassia to re-examine everything she thought she knew.
