The next in MacAlister's Dark Ones series is full of nutty antics. The author's patented ability to create a host of offbeat and weirdly appealing characters enlivens the story. Reading her is always time well spent!

During a trip to Europe, Pia had two roles abruptly thrust upon her. Not only is she now the magical Zorya of the Brotherhood, dedicated to killing Dark Ones, she's also the beloved of sexy and surly Kristoff.

Pia and Kristoff have been on separate continents, but now they're forced back together. The Moravian Council has accused them of embezzlement, murder and the disappearance of Dark One Alec Darwin. Since Pia once thought she was in love with Alec, things are a bit sticky. To prove their innocence, Pia and Kristoff are going to have to find Alec and figure out who set them up.
