THE CRYSTAL THRONE
by Kathryn Sullivan

Genre: Mainstream

RT Rating

Enter the parallel world of Sullivan's The Crystal Throne, where leprechauns, wizards, talking horses, elves, dwarves and evil witches wait.

Peter and Jeanne are two average
kids researching a school project—
until they fall through an old tree and are transported to a land of magic, separated from Earth by the disbelief of humans.

They've been brought to fight a powerful evil. Working against supernatural menaces, Jeanne and Peter must find a balance between acceptance and disbelief within themselves to succeed.

While the characters soon become warmly familiar, the story moves a little too fast. Still, it's sure to take readers for a wild ride. (Apr., 214 pp., $14.50)
