Book Review

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy
Sensuality: MILD

RT Rating

Cat lovers and readers who like the paranormal will find this story enjoyable. With a light mystery, nicely done suspense and romance, this is a wonderful story. Jackson can be a bit verbose at times, but the story moves well and comes to a quite satisfactory conclusion.

Three years ago, Jillian's
husband died, and she still mourns him. Then, last Halloween, she was struck by lightning and now can converse with cats.

One cold, wet night Jillian decides to end it all, when cat Atherton shows
up with news that there's been a murder. Jillian fetches the new sheriff, Tyler Murphy, and even though Tyler does not approve, they attempt to find the killer, a task complicated by lack of cooperation from the locals and a motive. But the cats are determined to bring the villain to justice, and they expect Jillian to help them. (Love Spell, Jun., 320 pp., $7.99)
