Bad boys are hot, and they don't come any hotter than the Steele Street gang. This high-octane chase drama accelerates out of the starting gate and doesn't look back. One of the best elements of the series is Janzen's continued use of her wild cast of characters. This novel is smoking in the extreme!

After eight years deep undercover as El Salvadoran drug lord Alejandro Campos, CIA operative and former Steele Street alumnus Zachary Prade is abruptly pulled back to the U.S. and sent on a sensitive new mission. Zach first met documentary filmmaker Lily Robbins when he saved her life in El Salvador during a botched CIA mission.

Now it appears that both the U.S. government and the bad guys believe that Lily unknowingly has possession of a polymer strand that contains the key to a computer file. Zach needs to get his hands on Lily and the key before she ends up dead. Easier said than done with all the nasties chasing them. Zach may need to turn to his old Steele Street gang for help resolving this particular problem. (DELL, Jan., 405 pp., $6.99)
