CUTTING LOOSE

Author(s):

This start of Andersen's new series has fun and interesting characters, solid action and a hot and sexy romance. The main characters are so well developed that readers will feel they know them personally. The introduction of the heroines of the future stories whets the appetite for more.

An elderly friend dies and leaves Jane Kaplinski and her two friends a mansion. They plan to sell it after Devlin Kavanagh renovates it. Jane is unimpressed with Devlin after their first meeting, when he is jet-lagged and drunk. Yet as Jane and Devlin are thrown together while working on the mansion, they soon discover there's more to their attraction than just lust.

But Dev has no plans to stay in Seattle. Plans can change, though, and thanks to a thief, these just might. (HQN, Aug., 384 pp., $7.99)
