DAKOTA FATHER (4) by Linda Ford: Buffalo Hollow, Dakota Territory, 1884: Jenny Archibald is on her way to hand over 2-year-old Meggie to her uncle, Burke Edwards, with plans to return home and marry the man her father picked out. Burke is upset by the death of his sister and her husband, but is thankful Meggie survived. He wonders how he will run his ranch and raise a child on his own. Can a farmer and a city girl form a relationship for the sake of a child? A tender love story with characters who are strong-willed and caring. Readers will like Jenny, who craves an adventure, but still respects her father’s wishes.
