Image of Damek's Redemption (Legacy)

Walters’ Legacy series returns to fine form with Damek, the vampire whose appearance often saves the day for the Haven pack. Not since Nora Roberts’ Valley of Silence has there been a vampire hero so broken he can pull on the heartstrings of virtually any reader. Sonia is a fantastic strong heroine, and the love scenes are steamy. Even better, they feel totally organic to the developing relationship between Sonia and Damek. Even if you’re tired of vampires, this story is one you shouldn’t miss.

Damek has always stood outside of life, never trusting anyone since he became a vampire over a thousand years ago. Mythology and folklore researcher Sonia became obsessed with Damek before she even met him, but encountering a vampire in person — and an ancient one no less — is exactly what she’s always wanted. Damek is determined to resist her, especially after she brings vampire hunters to his door, but his attraction to her is more than even he can resist. (SAMHAIN, Sep., 256 pp., $15.00)
