Woman meets man. Woman and man date. Woman and man have so much baggage, they part. Sound familiar? Witvliet's story is one that many readers will relate to. She has, however, put her own stamp on it, and the result will make you smile through your tears.

Single mom and real-estate agent Gwen Marconi is on the hunt for husband No. 3. Gwen likes being married, but she has a history of choosing the wrong man. She thinks her luck may be changing, however, when Joel Hubbard walks into her office.

Joel is a widower and single dad who thought he was happy with his life, until he met Gwen and realized what he was missing. Their chemistry is combustible, but life has a way of interfering. Fate throws some serious obstacles in their way, and Gwen knows she needs to walk away from the man she loves to protect him from more heartbreak. The question is: What does Joel want?
