DANCE WITH THE DOCTOR (4) by Cindi Myers: Belly-dance instructor Darcy O’Connor gets a second chance at love and life when she meets Dr. Mike Carter and his young daughter, Taylor. Curious about Mike’s overprotective nature when it comes to his daughter, Darcy soon learns that Taylor had a heart transplant, and that the donor was Darcy’s own deceased 6-year-old son, Riley, who died in a car accident with his father two years earlier. Although the plot is just a bit implausible, the book is well written and heartwarming. Myers’ characters have real depth, and her portrayal of their emotions is spot on.
