Navy SEAL Steve McMillan is pulled from his unit to join Task Force Two of TIARA, a CIA intelligence team frequently used by Admiral Madison. Steve's assignment is to get close to the legendary assassin Marlena Maxwell to find out who hired her and who her current target is. Task Force Two manages to intercept the man hired to be her chauffeur/gofer and replace him with Steve. Now on the inside, Steve discovers that Marlena is every bit as seductive and dangerous as her reputation implies.

Marlena knew this was going to be a tough assignment from the get-go, but she didn't plan on being distracted by her sexy new gofer. Marlena guesses Steve is probably from the CIA, but with all the various parties jockeying for position, she can't be sure. Marlena has her assignment and she hasn't failed yet, but this one is shaping up to be both deadly and enticing.

Cross and double cross is the name of this game, and no one is quite what they seem. Gennita Low will wow readers with this intensely sensual and suspenseful first tale. (Apr., 384 pp., $5.99)
