Dodd neatly dovetails the conclusions of two of her series with this romantic thriller. At long last Gabriel Prescott gets his story as the saga of the Prescott siblings and the Manly brothers comes to a climactic close. The jeopardy is real, and the passion intense. You always get your money's worth with a Dodd book!

Having been wrongly accused of seducing a former patient, nurse Hannah Grey is having trouble getting a new job. So she takes a position caring for Melinda, the ailing and reclusive mother of playboy Carrick Manly. What she doesn't expect is that she'll be under constant video surveillance by Gabriel Prescott. Gabriel doesn't reveal to Carrick that they're half-brothers when he accepts the job to watch both Hannah and Melinda. Carrick claims that he fears for his mother, since authorities suspect she knows where fugitive Nathan Manly's stolen fortune is hidden. Killers are after that money, and Hannah is trapped in the middle. (SIGNET, Mar., 400 pp., $7.99)
