This new urban fantasy has an attention-grabbing plot and interesting characters that lend excitement and suspense, while the psychological tension provides a satisfying head trip. But there's a lot going on, and the breakneck pace in the beginning is overwhelming. Short, intense chapters jump between dreams and reality, creating confusion. Once the pace settles down, however, the storyline satisfies and leads to a cliffhanger conclusion.

Maddie Temple's dreams are literally driving her mad. She hears the voice of her twin Sarah, but her sister has been in a coma for 10 years, and she thought their psychic connection was broken. Then Maddie finds out her gifts have been passed down through her family for generations. Though her mother tried to hide their abilities, a group of scientists have been watching them, with the intent to develop psychic weapons. Sexy psychiatrist Jarred Keith wants to help Maddie, but can she trust him?
