Conrad Wroth has fallen into bloodlust and is feared lost by his vampire brothers. With various supernatural parties out to destroy him, the Wroth brothers capture the nearly insane Conrad with the hope of restoring his sanity. If they can't, they must kill him.

The rundown mansion they choose for their mission has its own secret; it's the residence of ballerina Neomi Laress' ghost. Neomi was murdered there back in 1927, and Conrad is the first person who can see her. As a hallucinating Conrad remains imprisoned in the house, Neomi works to break through to him. Could it be that she is Conrad's long-destined bride, and if so, is there any hope for these star-crossed lovers? (POCKET, May, 368 pp., $6.99)
