Grant’s novel is dark and fast paced, with deep and intriguing characters. She turns the scary scenario of government control growing ugly and out of control into a unique and well-written premise.

Sixteen-year-old Neva has kept a record of “The Missing” ever since her beloved grandma disappeared years ago. After all, when you live inside the Protectosphere with no way out, how do people disappear? Neva and her friend Sanna hold “dark parties” to recruit for a rebellion against the government, but when disaster strikes and the government gets Sanna, Neva must try to find her way out and save the Missing before it’s too late.
