Johansen once again blends science and the supernatural into a uniquely gripping tale that plays off the bond between man and animals. In a Johansen novel, the action is always intense and the stakes high, but the emotional temperature of this story makes it a blockbuster. It's one of her best.
Whether she likes it or not, Devon is now a part of Marrok's world and a guardian to these extraordinary dogs.
